Done with being vertical?

It’s time to get sideways. The main goal of the Civic Salon is to promote something called ‘sideways learning’. The intent of sideways learning is to acknowledge that everyone has the capacity to be part of the decision-making and solution-creating process.* People who are interested in the same field can bring their own experiences and ideas as a way to promote collaboration and create solutions that reflect local interests. While this may seem obvious, it is surprising how often we forget the sideways approach and default to the top-down formats.

So if you feel like gettin’ horizontal, come Salon with us! We want to hear and share with you.
